The Stone of Destiny.What a great movie,and a wonderful story. Based loosely on the story of a group of four students in Scotland in 1950 who steal back The Stone of Scone. This stone was a large retangular stone weighing more than 300 pounds. For centuries, it was the symbol of power in Scotland, and Kings would be crowned as they sat on it. The British(Edward 1) in 1296, took the stone to England, where it was used in the coronation ceremonies of English monarchs to show their sovreignty over Scotland. It's a delightful, funny movie, and the scenery is fabulous. It is playing at the Broadway theatre. It's not being distributed in the major movie theatres, so you may have to pick up the DVD at a rental place.Check out the trailer online.You will recognise some of the actors.
