Wow! What a beautiful fall we're having!Lovely warm,and even hot weather every day.Today it's raining, but still pretty warm.My sister Joanne is feeling a little better after her first chemo treatment.She is posting a blog to keep friends and family updated. He's also a pastry chef, so he can make his own wedding cake! Bonus! Our family is big enough now so we can no longer sit around our diningroom table, so it's buffet service from now on.Life keeps on changing and I'm working hard at keeping up.

Yay! A new granddaughter for me!!! Ellie Marie was born on Saturday to my son Tom and his wife Erin's delight. She is beautiful of course. 7 lbs.3 oz.,lots of dark hair. I got to babysit Maria,their firstborn who is two,for the whole weekend.Very fun. Ray and I feel very blessed.

Joanne

My sister Joanne has been in hospital for 8 days now,and tonight she comes home to my parents' place. It's always a little nerve-wracking to leave the hospital because you feel mortal and vulnerable, but what she really needs right now is a good night's sleep. Hospitals are noisy at night.The weather is nice outside, and my Mom and Dad's house is quiet and backs on to a lovely park. It'll be a good place for her to do her walking. She got her hair cut today and it looks really nice.
