Gone in 60 minutes

Things My Mother Taught Me You may have noticed on Thomas' blog a comment from my husband about Tom locking his keys in his car. After discussing whether or not to call in a professional to get us in there, we decided we were too cheap and I offered to show him my method for breaking into a car. It worked after a few tries. Neither of us even got to the point where we said bad words. What odd life skills did your Mother teach you?

Springish
I was out for a coffee with Annie at St. Arbucks on Broadway the other day. We sat outside. There were buskers(one we thought was really good until we realised it wasn't him playing, it was the speaker that was playing outside Starbucks) and lots of happy people walking around. The sun shining, birds singing, friends walking by saying 'How do you do', it really is a wonderful world when spring hits Saskatoon.

Easter

What a great Easter vigil celebration at the Church! Deep with symbols and meaning, I love how the mass involves all the senses: From a pitch black church where light is brought in to a glorious brightness and riot of color-the visual, the scents of flowers and incense, beeswax candles and Easter breads people bring for the party after, the quiet solemn music as we read the many readings from the old Testament in the darkness to the moment where we sing the Alleluiah for the first time since the beginning of Lent and we all bring bells and ring them all through the song, watching a young man getting baptised as he kneels in the water and has it poured over him.
I love visiting after with the people in my church- wine and cheese and Easter bread and lots of hugs and wishes of Happy Easter. I feel blessed.
