Things My Mother Taught Me You may have noticed on Thomas' blog a comment from my husband about Tom locking his keys in his car. After discussing whether or not to call in a professional to get us in there, we decided we were too cheap and I offered to show him my method for breaking into a car. It worked after a few tries. Neither of us even got to the point where we said bad words. What odd life skills did your Mother teach you?

Never stick your tongue on a metal post in the winter. I only did it once.
Oh, yeah, and I remember taking our children outside at the beginning of winter each year and showing them yellow snow:
"Children,do you know why this snow is yellow? Should we ever eat yellow snow?"
