Favorite places
A Few of my Favorite Places
My son Bob and our friend Chris are in Taiwan. They talk about this cigar and tobacco store called Kevin Pipe(I think) and that it's a wonderful place to hang out. I started thinking about my favorite places to hang out in Saskatoon.
1. Yard and Flagon pub on Broadway-A beer and a burger on Mondays for 4.95. And the cook there is great!Tues.are wing nights. We like to gather there after work on Tuesdays with friends. Cosy and fun.
2. J.S.Wood Library. This was the favorite place of my childhood and I still feel like it's home. So comfortable and accessible. And full of books. What more could a person want?
3.The gardens at Boffins. Absolutely the most beautiful gardens in Saskatoon.
4. Campus of U. of S. One of the most beautiful campuses in the country. I love the greystone buildings.
5.The river. I've lived by the ocean. When you look at the ocean you think about space. When you watch a river flowing by it makes you aware of time. Our river is grand and lovely and the bridges over it are wonderful. The trails by the river are beautiful.
6. My street. Because I love to come home. I have great neighbors and a great family and a cat that rolls around on the sidewalk because she is so happy to see me. I like to fill my house with friends and friends of friends and feed them and make them happy to be at my house too.
