Hey! I know this!

Matt and I were talking about the many different kinds of batteries there are and I became aware that he had learned a lot about this at London Drugs, where he works in the electronics department. He can talk geek pretty good now. I was telling him that everything you learn in life you eventually use somehow, somewhere. Except the slide rule. So,naturally he said "What's a slide rule?" We had to learn how to use a slide rule in grade 7 and it was a bit convoluted, not user friendly. It was supposed to help you multiply without using paper. It became obsolete about 2 minutes after we mastered it, with the invention of the calculator. I can also darn socks, but it is possible that one day I may want to darn a sock and at least I know how. What thing have you learned that didn't come in handy?
