August

The end of July is here already and we're hurtling headlong into August. It's been such a hot month and our air conditioning isn't working so we're hoping to get that fixed ASAP. August holds a lot of excitement for us. The birth of our first grandchild, Bobby is coming home for a visit, and I get the whole month off as I continue to recover from surgery. I'll be off til at least Sept.12. YAHOO!!! I'm not feeling all that bad either. I just can't lift or vacuum or anything that sounds like caretaking.
As for our only child at home,Matt, he's been having a blast. Roaring around with friends,swimming, playing Tilo(sp?), golfing....... He even got to be a zombie in an independent film production. Imagine walking down Broadway Ave. at 4 A.M. in zombie make-up being filmed for a movie? Every boy's dream.

Coloring

Just thought I'd let everyone know that the new trend in bedroom colours is: BLUE. That's the hot tip of the week. This I know because Erin and Tom painted their baby room a gorgeous bright blue. (No, that's not a hint as to the sex of the baby.Blue's just IN,like I said) Also, Ray and I (Ray,actually) have chosen a beautiful cornflowery blue color for our bedroom and the spare bedroom upstairs. Bob will be staying there when he comes. Which brings me to another unimportant point. That is, when it comes to painting, a looming deadline is vital. Otherwise,it would never happen.If Bob wasn't coming to visit, we would put this project off until someone else was coming to visit. If Tom and Erin weren't having a baby soon, they may have waited to paint.Who knows what great castles in history wouldn't have been finished if there wasn't some queen coming to visit. I bet Versaille still wouldn't have the baseboards done.
