On the Mend

Ray is healing nicely. Matt's got a small infection in his wound,so he's on antibiotics. The weather is nice. Things are looking up.This weekend, POP members from South Bend Indiana, Dorothy and Kevin Ranahan, are coming to Saskatoon. We also have tickets to Pink Martini(great group!) and Annie and I have press passes for a Flamenco dinner and show that she's covering for the Sheaf. She's the Arts editor for the University of Saskatchewan newspaper, so she goes to lots of music, literature and art events. Sometimes she gets to bring a friend(or a Mom). She'll be taking in a lot of the Jazz Festival too. Maybe we'll even see her at Pink Martini. That concert is held in the garden behind the Bessborough Hotel. I may practise my rumba. I hope Ray is well enough to go.

Sounds like the old days. I remember covering musical events for the Sheaf also.
As someone said to Peter in town the other day "It's just like deja-vu all over again!

There's a mug at St. Peter's Abbey in the kitchen that says:"Nostalgia- It's not what it used to be!"
