Back in the saddle again

Yay!!! I am now driving again! I still can't have caffeine because it makes me a little dizzy. It's been okay to give it up for awhile. I was surprised because, although I don't drink a lot of coffee, I really enjoy it.Actually a bit of a coffee snob.As a matter of fact, I wonder why anyone would bother drinking coffee that isn't good. My favorite coffee, aside from the lovely cappicinos we had in Italy, is the Sumatra from Caribou Coffee Company in the States(slogan: Life is short-stay awake for it) and the espresso roast from Starbucks, and Ten Thousand Villages bold roast. The coffee shop at the Mendel Art Gallery has European-style cappicinos and espressos.(also good paninis and salads)What is your favorite coffee place/blend?

My favorite coffee spot is White Rock. The coffee is freshly roasted. I usually meet my friend, Dianne, there and we talk for hours. Both the coffee and the company are a great treat.

Coffee: Sumatra is at the top. Some say it tasts like dirt, and I agree - a great dirt!! I also like the Ethiopian Yirgacheff - also very earthy but dirt from another part of the world.

I was surprised when I was in Hawaii, I had the famous Kona coffee, and I didn't like it. At first I thought it was the way I was brewing it so I had it at a coffee shop and it was very unspectacular.

It's summer so I am drinking iced coffee except in the morning.

I once was camping with some friends six years ago. rob Furmanic was with us. We were all hurting for some coffee the morning we awoke. He created a coffee purker out of a coke can, a clothes hanger and some paper towel. As far as quality goes, I've had better. But no coffee has left as deep an impression as that one. Not surprising he now studies engineering.
