Blizzard Bluster
Yesterday we had the most enormous blizzard. Not that much snow really, but 80km or so winds. You really couldn't see beyond a car length away at times. I stupidly drove to work after lunch and half-way there I realised I had made a big mistake. I should have stayed home. On 8th street I needed to turn left onto Preston, but I couldn't tell if there were any oncoming cars. I decided to wait for the yellow light and turn then. When I arrived at the school I urged the principal to try to get the kids home. They got the last person away by 2:45. I then drove the secretary home. It took me 45 minutes to get from Osler and Wiggins to my house, usually a 10 minute drive.Scary. Today is a snow day,no school,as the city digs out and returns all the abandoned vehicles from Circle Drive. People were getting lost in the Costco and Attridge Co-op parking lots trying to find their vehicles, then couldn't find their way back to the store. At both stores they had a number of people staying overnight. They set up places to sleep and turned on T.V.s and fed them. Okay, getting snowed-in in a grocery store is probably one of the better places to get stuck.

I'd rather be stuck in a Liquor Store. After a few drinks I'd be able and willing to practice my new dance steps. Cha Cha anyone?
HAHAHAHHA good one daddy-o
