Faithfulness
Last weekend was a special anniversary of the founding of St.Martin's United Church. My parents are very involved in that church and it was that church that helped raise me. The life at St. Martins is lively and the sense of community has always been strong. I remember being enveloped by a sense of being surrounded by a lot of people that really cared about me. I also remember feeling that I was a member-that my contribution was important. In this day and age of people moving around and not setting down roots, not wanting to commit to things in case too much is asked, it is wonderful to see the fruit of faithfulness. Family is built. Memories of laughter and rich sharing, a full social life, lovely music, square dances, working at the Exhibition church booth, summer camp, youth group, camps, good friends, garage sales, good conversations are the things I carry from my years at St. Martins.
