Matt

My son Matt is taking a Primary Care Paramedic course here. It seems like a perfect fit for him. Over the years he's been in a number of emergency situations where he's had to 'rescue' people. Once his boss had a heart attack at work, another time he came across a man whose arm was pinned under his car when the jack slipped as he was working under it. There were other times too, and I wonder if 'somebody up there' was giving him a clue about what career path would be good for him to pursue. Not that God causes accidents, but that He sent Matt to help. Matt is calm and clear-thinking in an emergency. He can take charge and delegate the 'standing around stunned' people. He's empathetic, and caring, but a useful kind of caring. Some people are so emotionally empathetic that all they can do is stand there feeling bad. It's a delightful thing as a parent to see your kids figure out their career path in a way that fits so perfectly.
